Deep-Blue JAZZ Chords: Dominant + Minor = COOL

This is a sound that you hear all the time in jazz, but that doesn't get talked about much — from what I've seen, anyway.

The concept is simple enough: Take a common series of dominant7 chords, like C7 - A7 - D7 - G7, and couple the chords with melodic choices from the minor pentatonic scale of the home-base key (C). The sound is deep-blue cool.
