Initial Look at the C# Dev Kit for VSCode
Microsoft just released the preview version of C# Dev Kit for VSCode. I'm really excited about this for a number of reasons. First, it elevates what we can do in VSCode with C# projects. Second, it allows non-.NET developers to easily work with .NET projects in their native environment. For instance, my web developer handles my HTML and CSS work. However, when I give him a C# project, he has been using full Visual Studio. Now he can use VSCode. Third, this meets people where they are at. If you are already familiar with VSCode, you can now more easily develop C# projects too.
In this video, I am going to go over what this extension does and where it is at in the development process. This is still an early pre-release, so there is a long way to go. However, what we have is already a big step up.
