This is my now retired MacBook, which helped me create my How to Mac videos in Mac OS X 10.6.8 and 10.7.5. I've had it since 2012, and it always worked well. I upgraded to a unibody MacBook, not only because it was faster, lighter, and more efficient, but also because Mac OS 10.7.5 seems to have less support among certain websites and services (I mainly blame Google because they didn't like me updating to 10.7). And, because this is a 2008 MacBook, I couldn't update to anything after Lion.
This MacBook was the (almost) top of the line model, with a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB of RAM, and a 160 GB hard drive.
The MacBook, originally introduced in 2006, was the replacement for the iBook G4, as Apple moved away from the PowerPC processors and onto the Intel architecture.
