How to add borders in Google Docs
In this video, you'll learn how to add page borders to your Google Docs documents using the Borders and Shading function. While drawing a border and formatting it as Behind text is one option, using the dedicated Borders and Shading function offers more customization options.
To access this feature, click on Format, then select Paragraph styles, and click on Borders and Shading. From there, you can customize your border by adjusting six parameters: Position, Border width, Border dash, Border color, Background color, and Paragraph padding.
For a simple page border, you can select Top border, Bottom border, Left border, or Right border. The Border width option allows you to adjust how thick the border line is, while the Border dash option lets you select different line styles. You can also change the color of the border and the background within the border using the Border color and Background color options.
By following these steps, you can add professional-looking page borders to your Google Docs documents quickly and easily.
