Black Trees’ was written as a cathartic expression stemming from the rumination on the short-termism of our contemporary way of life, and its potentially disastrous environmental consequences. The initial influence derived from a massive fire that occurred in my little village in Calabria in south Italy. It was really devastating, all the lands around us were a big cemetery of trees. I was really in a dark mood and then the track came out easily and I think fits perfectly with the experience I had at the time. I started to talk with my long-term collaborator Chiara Tomati about this and Chiara introduced to me Alessio Anthony, to create a video strictly connected with the artwork of the whole “New Ruins” ep. It’s beautifully abstract, they have done a great job”

Starting from the initial concept expressed by Indian Wells we have carried forward the idea of a dystopian journey where the spectator crosses surreal realities remaining trapped in an eternal present. We hope you enjoy the journey.
