What is spatial resolution?
In satellite data, resolution often refers to what's known as spatial resolution this describes the size of the pixels of the image on the ground.
A 50 centimetre image refers to each pixel being 50 centimetres wide.
A 1 metre image has pixels that are 1 metre wide.
You need to select a spatial resolution that matches the application that you are looking for.
If you are looking at how many spaces are in a parking lot, you might need something like a 30 centimetre image in which you could see some of the lines on the ground and be able to start counting spaces.
If you are looking to see if there is a farm in one location or a river, you might be able to use something like a 30 metre product instead.
