I thought this could be the beginning of a fun series where I share simple ways to upcycle easily accessible thrifted button up tops (or sometimes even any garment). In this video I share two simple hacks to help level up some existing tops to have a touch more character.
Part one covers how to insert additional panels to either just enhance the look of it or also to for functional reasons if you want to extend the length to a dress like I did.
Part two shares the steps of how to introduce drawstring feature sections. I go over two methods of how this can be added in. This can be the base to then let your ideas run wild and add them wherever you like to a garment. Again whether it's just for the aesthetic feature or for practical purposes like make a garment fit better in select areas or having the ability to increase and decrease the length to suit the mood of the day.
