ARE YOUR VIMEO SCREEN RECORDINGS LIMITED TO 720P RESOLUTION?
Find out how I took my recordings from 720p to 2K resolution by doing one simple thing.
MY MISTAKE
When I started using Vimeo I was recording my screen at 2K resolution however after a while these recordings dropped down to 720p resolution.
I could not understand why the screen recordings I've dropped more than half of the resolution which meant that the quality of what people can see on screen was not as sharp and even in some situations easy to read text on the screen.
As it turned out I was making one very simple mistake.
VIMEO.COM CHROME EXTENSION
I installed the Vimeo Chrome browser extension because it made the recording screen much easier and quicker. The only problem with it was that there were very limited options when it came to the settings on this extension.
Unless you want a 720p resolution recording, delete this extension.
2K RESOLUTION RECORDINGS - HOW TO...
If you require good quality screen recordings at 2K resolution it is best to do each recording directly from your account on Vimeo.com.
Remove the Chrome browser extension and avoid it at all costs. It might be quicker to click record but it is definitely a waste of time in my opinion.
