Produce Electro/Ghettotech
In today's video we dive into the world of Electro / Ghettotech music.
A genre influenced by artists like Kraftwerk, Afrika Bambaataa and Cybotron back in the 80's that is being pushed to the limits
today by new producers like Helena Hauff, Textasy and others.
We'll work on Ableton Live 12 but you can use any other DAW like FL Studio, Logic Pro, etc...
How helpful it is to use a sound for inspiration, so we have a nice starting point. Then get some drum samples from SampleFocus.com
to make an Electro Drumkit, combining different sounds to create a big and punchy kit.
The importance of simple patterns but well executed, as well as a bright bass driving the rhythm and some dirty vocals
to finish it off.
We'll arrange the transitions to work as best as we can and make a very simple idea sound even better than before.
