I have long ago singled out for myself an almost perfect router in terms of price / quality, and this router was Xiaomi 3G. I upgraded it to the Padavan firmware and the router became more functional and with very stable work. But time does not stand still, so does technology. Therefore, now changing the firmware from the stock MiWiFi or from Padavan to OpenWRT is already a matter of almost 2 minutes. It's all about installing another bootloader - BREED, thanks to which you can change the firmware on the router like gloves, using only a paperclip and a reset button. The functionality in general was enough until the AC2100 router appeared and the idea to connect them WiFi in the MASH network. And for this, you need to install the Keenetic firmware on each router. Thanks to the respected zbancam from http://bit.do/fPvKr who modified the firmware for 3G, we can use all the great features from Keenetic on Xiaomi hardware. Starting from an additional backup channel of a provider, or using a 3 / 4G modem, to built-in ad blocking, using a native mobile application to control a router, and to creating MASH networks.
