Behringer XM8500 Dynamic Microphone Review / Test ($20 Podcast Mic?)
Today, I have the Behringer XM8500 Dynamic Cardioid microphone in the Audio Hotline studio. Usually, I won't spoil how I feel about a mic in the description, BUT It is no secret to subscribers that have been around for a while that I am a fan of this microphone. I believe It is a great budget option for a beginner or someone who is on a tight budget. Just because I say it is for a beginner doesn’t mean it isn’t fantastic though, I also believe that everyone should have one of these in their mic locker!
I have found myself using it in a lot of situations due to its incredible build quality and solid sound. It is an absolutely fantastic inexpensive investment and I highly recommend this mic.
BUT LISTEN FOR YOURSELF, AND SEE IF YOU LIKE IT!! Be sure to check out the testing and audio samples and see if this is right for you! Every person has different expectations of audio gear. If the features are what you need, and you like the sound, then it is right for you!
Note: I had a little mishap with the post-processing section, accidentally left a plug-in on when I thought I turned it off before exporting. So it doesn't sound as optimal as usual. My apologies!
