How to Highlight Cells with Duplicate Values in Excel
In this video we will see how to highlight cells with duplicate values in Excel. This video will use excel 2016 but it will work with excel 2007 and later versions. To highlight the cells with duplicate values, we just select the column we want to be formatted and in the home Tab click Conditional Formatting, and then click highlight cells rules and then click duplicate values and click Ok.
Highlighting the duplicate values help us when we want to check whether a certain cell has the same value with another cell in a column. It is very useful when making sure that there must be one unique value from a column in excel. By highlighting the cells, we are instantly notified that the text that we typed has the a duplicate somewhere in our excel sheet.
