Make Flowers with Moose to Thank COVID-19 Workers!
Let's make handprint flowers to thank everyone working to provide essential services during COVID-19! Let's put smiles on these workers' faces!
Some of these essential employees during shutdown include doctors, nurses, paramedics, police officers, firefighters, truckers, grocers and delivery people. They have gone above and beyond to care for us!
In this arts and crafts for kids video, Moose Mischief author and illustrator Danielle Gillespie-Hallinan and her friend the Moose teach kids how to make adorable handprint flowers (or hoof print flowers if you’re a MOOSE)!
They are asking kids to display the handprint flowers in their window at home and to post photos of them to Instagram with the hashtag #thankworkers. That way, workers all over the world can see kids' heartfelt artwork!
This easy paper craft is ideal for kids 5 years and older with adult supervision. It will take about 25 minutes to complete.
For this craft, you will need paper plates, paint, glitter (optional), craft sticks (optional), glue, green construction paper, watercolor paper, scissors, colored pencils, crayons or markers. You will also want to print off the vase coloring page from the website, https://moosemischief.com/pages/templ.... On the website, you will find a PDF with images of two vases. One says thank you and the other is blank, so people in non-English speaking countries can write thank you in their language.
