We have tested the 18-core behemoth CPU Intel Core i9-7980XE fixed on 4.2 Ghz with 4-channel ram 4 x 8 GB and step by step disabled its cores to find out what happens when you go lower core count. So, it was 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 cores, for 18 cores we have also made tests with Hyper Threading and without HyperThreading. We have tried Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry 5, Assassin's Creed Origins, Ashes of Singularity, Total War: Warhammer II with the lowest settings and ultra-settings on FullHD and ultra-settings in 4K.
