I usually use CRA create-react-app to scaffold react projects and the problem I faced is that the local dev server becomes a bit slow as my application code grows and also the project build time increases whenever there are changes in the code.

A better alternative to CRA will be VITE. It’s a new front end tooling which allows us to build the react apps faster with native ESM based DEV server rather than using the bundle based dev server which we have in CRA. As the application code grows the VITE uses HMR which is a hot module replacement to replace the file in the module graph. So in this video we will explore an alternative to CRA which is VITE, a new front end tooling and see how it works and why it is faster as compared to CRA.
