How to Draw Manual Earthwork Cross Sections and Calculations by Average End Area Method in AutoCAD
Easiest Way to draw and calculate Earthwork Cross Sections in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D. In this video Cross Section Drawing techniques are shown with the help of using simple AutoCAD Commands and Microsoft Excel. This cross section is used in Average End Area method for calculations of cutting and filling material.
Now a days more advanced software are available for calculation of earthwork quantities but still in some area where more detailed sections are required for calculation this method is most easiest. By this method you can produce the sections in AutoCAD by using simple AutoCAD and MS Excel techniques, which are shown in this video.
Most important thing is after the final section is drawn you don't need to type the data in MS Excel, because the data can be extracted with simple AutoCAD commands to MS Excel, to calculate the Cut Fill/Earthwork quantities. This technique is very much time saving and useful.
There are even more tips and trick used to draw this section, which could be explained on demand.
