Commercial displays are known for their long product life cycles and being able to effectively present information in an an efficient manner. As opposed to consumer televisions where the goal is to have the latest and greatest screen resolution, contrast, color palette and screen refresh rate, the aim is to present vital information like the weather, train and bus schedules for example.
