Audiophile operative system streamer setup
Quick guide to setting up Deadbeef audio program up on Audiophile linux on a DAC.
Audiophile linux is the ultimate natural sound OS, if you set it up properly.
It took me 3 months figuring out how to install it properly and make it work optimally with my DAC, so good luck with that!
This is a quick guide when you have reached that point, tuning the sound in so it sounds a lot more natural.
The end result should be a sligthly more authentic/natural/free/LIVE sound than the Windows sound. Windows is usually a bit more forgiving/boosted in sound. (but a lower quality warm)
I also recommend using chrome or chromium browser in audiophile linux, and then using Youtube to stream sound with. These 3 combinations together give a very authentic sound. (audiophile linux, chrome, youtube)
Some people might want to activate or deactivate hardware acceleration to improve it even more.
I recommend installing this on a ssd hard disk, and having your sound files on a mechanical hard drive, and then in the end using Jriver which is a lot better than Deadbeef.
Windows also sounds good in a very different way, but it is very audible on a good hifi system that Audiophile Linux is clearly better when set up properly.
For best results use something like a streacom cabinet with no internal psu or fans, and then use a Teradak PSU to power it up with. This creates a sound that has a lot less noise than a standard PC with fans and PSU.
I recommend using COAX on the motherboard or maybe something like a Jcat card.
