Nikon Z8 Hot Card Modification : Cool your Nikon Z8 in minutes.
This Nikon Z8 modification will help to cool your Nikon Z8 and get more of that heat out of your camera to not only extend your recording times but also help your Nikon Z8 cool down faster and help you avoid those dreaded Hot Card Warnings.
If you are getting a hot card warning in your Nikon Z8 then the first thing you should check is your card as a lot of cards tend to run hot in the Z8 and you need a more efficient card. So check your card first, if your card runs hot then this modification is not going to help you.
I tested my Nikon Z8 at 8k 60P at ISO 4000 in Nlog and High Detail mode while recording a constantly moving subject to stress the camera as much as possible. Having a stationary subject would have made this test a lot easier on the Z8 but that wasn't the point of it, we needed to stress it as much as possible.
Having a moving subject forces the camera to constantly keep evaluating the scene and hence this extra work puts more of a load on the processor so it heats up more and this is why I believe this is a very important part of this process.
