1. Measure Your Lawn:
Measure the length and width of your lawn in meters. Multiply them together to get the area of your lawn in square meters (m²).
2. Consider Fertiliser Application Rate:
Your fertiliser recommends an application rate of 20 - 60L per hectare
A hectare is 10,000 square meters. The average is 40 litres per hectare (l/ha).
3. Calculate Fertiliser Needed
product amount x area divided by 10000
Example
Measure Your Lawn: Let's say your lawn is 15 metres long and 8 metres wide.
Area: 15 m * 8 m = 120 m²
Consider Fertiliser Application Rate: Your fertiliser recommends an application rate of 20-60 litres per hectare, with an average of 40 litres per hectare (l/ha).
Calculate Fertiliser Needed:
Product amount per hectare * Lawn area / 10,000
Calculation: (40 l/ha * 120 m²) / 10,000 = 0.48 litres
Result: You would need 0.48 litres of fertiliser for your 120m2
