Emma heard a knock on the door late at night. When she opened it, her ex-husband stood before her. He escaped prison. And now, he wanted to be with Emma once again. She refused to let him in, though scared, she stood firm. But so did he. Luckily, the guy was spooked by a siren he mistook for a police car. At this moment, Emma was able to shut the door. She locked it up and rushed to her partner to tell him they needed to leave. Ryan was very calm about this situation and told her not to overthink it. “Ryan! You have no idea what that man did to me. We need to go. Now”, she said in a shaky voice.
And while Emma was gathering her things, she heard the sound of shattering glass.
