How Does an 800m Ultra Long Range PoE Switch Work?
The common PoE Switch only can supply a maximum distance of 100 meters. The PoE extender is required to extend the PoE beyond 100 meters. The 800m ultra Long Distance PoE Switch can provide 800 meters maximum PoE Network. The unique long-distance chipset is built in this kind of PoE Switch to guarantee long-distance networking. The POE adapter is required at the edge. Even the ultra Long Distance PoE Switch can send the data signal up to 800 meters far, the edge device such as an IP camera needs an adapter to send back the signal to the switch over such long distances. The bandwidth is 100 meters within 500 meters and it will downgrade to 10mbps after 500 meters.
