Why is there pain and suffering?
Our world reflects humanity's choice to turn away from God's perfect plan. Each decision to go our own way—to lie, hate, exploit, destroy—has contributed to the brokenness and pain we see around us.
But God has not abandoned us. In His love and compassion, He continues to pour blessings on us. Every good thing we experience is a testament to God's unfailing mercy, but his grace extends beyond the temporary. Through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus, He has made a way for us to be reconciled to Him. He is working in and through all things, even suffering, to restore and heal us.
So while we understandably grieve over the suffering in our world, we do not despair like those without hope. We cling to the truth of God's goodness, stand in awe of His mercy, and look forward to the day when He will wipe away every tear and make all things new.
