Princess Deokye, the daughter of the last Joseon King, was taken to Japan at an early age during the Japanese Occupation and was forced to marry a much older Japanese trades man.
During her life, she dreams to return to her family and her home country, but struggles to maintain hope until she manages to return home in 1962.
Once back in Korea, she lived in Changdeokgung palace until the end of her life.
