Storyline:
"I walked slowly, shuffling my feet through high snowdrifts. The wind and snowflakes were flying into my face. The path was hard to see, and I was exhausted. I had a very heavy backpack and a folded tent on my back. What calmed me down and made me go on was that the house was already somewhere nearby, about 500 feet away. Having some landmarks, I began to peer up at the tops of the pines. I was trying to find that very house, because it was a house on a tree. At first I couldn’t find the house, but after walking around a bit, I finally saw it. Then I went to one of the pine trees, near its trunk there was a rope hanging, pulling on which, a wooden ladder came down from above. Without thinking, I climbed up it, then moved the latch, and threw back the door into the house. I was inside! Finally, I was safe. I raised the ladder up again and closed the door. The first thing I did was light the fireplace, and literally half an hour later the house became very warm. Then I took off my frozen clothes and hung them next to the fireplace to dry. I was hungry, so I took some food from my backpack and cooked myself a delicious dinner. When I had eaten, I made myself some raspberry tea and sat down on the floor next to the fireplace to warm up. I looked around, the house was small, but very cozy. There was everything necessary for life: a fireplace, a bed, a table, blankets and pillows, a radio, a guitar, books, a kerosene lamp, a supply of firewood and other interior items. This little house even had a supply of water and food, you could easily live here for several months without going outside. But I just needed to wait out the storm. I thought the storm would last only a couple of days, but when I turned on the radio, I heard the announcer say that the storm would last a week at best. On the one hand, this ruined my plans, but on the other hand, I wouldn't mind living in this cozy little house a little longer. I decided to move to the bed and covered myself with a down blanket. There was a window above the bed, and outside it I could see a raging snowstorm. I watched the snowflakes rush past at great speed, and then settle on the fluffy branches of the trees. The pleasant sounds of the blizzard reached inside the house, and in combination with the sounds of the fireplace, this created a very cozy atmosphere. I was so tired that, warmed up under the blanket, I fell asleep sweetly." To be continued...
