Acura RL Bad Starter Motor?
This is a 2nd Generation 2005 Acura RL (05-08).
Solution:
This seems to have been related to a starter cut relay or TRS (transmission range switch) that is going bad. Simply putting the shifter in neutral allowed me to start the car without issue.
Symptoms:
Headlights and dash stay bright and light when I try and start it, navigation and radio go off (which I think is normal).
Audible continuous clicking sound, which can be heard in the video.
Eventually "CHECK STARTING SYSTEM" notification on dashboard.
No clicking or sounds when turning from II to III
Cleaned/tightened battery terminals and connectors did not help.
