Excel: Using the LEN Function

Do you need to check on how many characters and/or numbers have been entered into a cell in Excel. This can be really useful for validating entries. Something like checking that the correct amount of numbers have been added to a credit card is one example as there are always 16 numbers in the long number. I also show you how to highlight any that may stand out using an IF function as well as conditional formatting. There are links to tutorials on how use them in more details below.
