edit: after I was done filming this I was reading about the knife on the official website and I they say that this is not for fire starting. in the review I say that the spine is good for fire starting on a Ferro rod. There are some mixed reviews on that, I guess. do what you will with your $16 knife. no one's going to hold it against you.
