❗❗ Note: In Austria we speak a standard variety of German, which is also known as "Austrian German". Linguistically, there are Bavarian and Alemannic dialects in Austria. Austrian German is predominantly Bavarian (Bavarian language area). Vorarlberg and regions in the north of Tyrol, which are part of the Alemannic dialect, are an exception. Bavarian is now divided into subdialects: North, Central and South Bavarian. Central Bavarian includes many Salzburg dialects. This also includes the dialect we speak.
In addition, there are recognized and unrecognized minority languages in Austria. (You can find more information here: https://austria-forum.org/af/AustriaW...

🇦🇹😍 With our channel, we want to introduce you to the German language in Austria and its varieties and peculiarities. We help you to better understand the dialect in Austria or our dialect (we speak a Salzburg dialect because we come from the state of Salzburg). But we also show you interesting things about traditions and culture in Austria. Why? Because it's twice as much fun together! 😊
