In the latest update iOS 16, and coming with iPadOS 16 soon, you can now copy the foreground such as you and your friends, and object or the cat and either save it as a new image or share in many apps like Mail, Messages, Notes, Facebook, Twitter, etc. You can copy it to. You can e even AirDrop it.
