We kick off this next tutorial series with rising star & production talent, SMG in the hotseat: Jamie delivers a superb 100 minutes of tuition which gives a detailed insight into his workflow and production approach, with so many ideas getting sparked throughout.
The first segment is an introduction to his music, working environment and tools. He breaks down his recent release on Critical Music ‘Codebreaker’ and talks you through all the moving parts - the why & the how.
In the second segment, Jamie begins from scratch to do some live bass design using Serum and a whole bunch of processing tools. He programs a patch and shows how this is sculpted into a modern dancefloor focused groove. He finishes off by doing some more experimental sound generation & resampling using NI’s incredible ‘FORM’ for Reaktor (Currently available for just £17) as well as various other fresh techniques.
