The CONTAX G series is a premium product of the German-Japanese "Kyocera-CONTAX". Delicate and unique titanium body, exclusive mirror group and surroundings. It is said that the stylish appearance was designed by German Porsche, and Zeiss has designed 7 high-quality lenses specifically for the G series. The high-precision body is built and produced by YASHICA. The quality and price of G2 are close to the LEICA M series film machine.
There are only two generations of the G series, the 1994 G1 and the 1996 G2. Compared to G1, G2 is like a mature final product. Autofocus, maximum shutter speed, body design and lens support are one grade higher than G1. It is the ultimate in the series, including the price. Super expensive, especially black ones. Of course, although G1 is already great, only use G2 to truly enjoy the taste of CONTAX G.
High-precision fully automatic and easy to use
It is the same RF machine as the LEICA M series, but the G2 is not a manual rangefinder, but a simple and easy-to-use fully automatic rangefinder camera, so it is completely different from the LEICA M and reflects each other. With automatic film advance, automatic AE, automatic focus, and automatic film return, the whole machine operates precisely and smoothly, just like operating a super high-end fully automatic point-and-shoot camera.
