Chelsea, Maresca & the £50m tip of the iceberg
Raheem Sterling didn’t make Chelsea’s match day squad to face Manchester city. In the lead to the match, Sterling’s team released a statement via the Daily Mail asking to have some communication from the club. This was a hotly debated topic as to whether or not he was in the wrong, or Chelsea themselves are disrespectful toward Sterling. This goes to highlight the massive job that Maresca has on his hands: way too many players, many of which unhappy, and trying to balance squad morale with preparations for each match. Now, it seems like Sterling wants to leave Chelsea permanently.
