జలవనరుల శాఖలో మెకానికల్ విభాగం సలహాదారుగా.. సాగునీటి ప్రాజెక్టు గేట్ల నిపుణుడు కన్నయ్య నాయుడును నియమిస్తూ ప్రభుత్వం ఉత్తర్వులిచ్చింది. ఇరిగేషన్ ప్రాజెక్టుల హైడ్రాలిక్ గేట్లు-హ్యాండ్లింగ్ ఎక్విప్మెంట్ వంటి విషయాల్లో,................. సలహాదారుగా ప్రభుత్వం నియమించింది. ఇటీవల తుంగభద్ర ప్రాజెక్టు స్టాప్ లాగ్ గేటు బిగింపు ప్రక్రియలో కన్నయ్య నాయుడు కీలక పాత్ర పోషించారు. ఏపీలో వివిధ ఇరిగేషన్ ప్రాజెక్టుల గేట్ల మరమ్మత్తులు, సహా గేట్ల నిర్వహణ విషయంలో కన్నయ్య సలహాలను ప్రభుత్వం స్వీకరించనుంది.
