Zeynel Dede is a Spiritual Leader of the Alevis in Ovacık, a small district in the mountains in Eastern Anatolia, famous for its resistance to the Turkish State, and mostly populated by the Zaza. He uses the Dede Sazı, a special type of three stringed Saz, to pray and preach according to Alevi tradition. We caught him in his field when he was harvesting beans before the rain was going to come.
