When the user needs to extract additional data from a currently running simulation for post-processing, Fidelity LES lets them do it without stopping and restarting the simulation by using the ‘killcharles’ file. This allows the user to add post-processing probes, change solver settings like the timestep, save the solution, and stop the solver. Similarly, the Fidelity LES meshing tool ‘Stitch’ has its own ‘killstitch’ file, which works in the same way.
