ओलंपियन पहलवान और जुलाना से कांग्रेस उम्मीदवार विनेश फोगाट के अंकल महावीर फोगाट ने कहा, "उसने पेरिस ओलंपिक में बहुत अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया लेकिन फाइनल में अयोग्य हो गईं। यह मेरी निजी राय है कि उसे 2028 ओलंपिक में हिस्सा लेना चाहिए। स्वर्ण पदक मेरा सपना है, वह तो नहीं मिली लेकिन भारत के लोगों ने उसे बहुत प्यार दिया और लोगों को उससे स्वर्ण पदक की उम्मीद थी। जिसस लोगों को दुख हुआ लेकिन सबको मुझे और लोगों को उम्मीद थी इस बार नहीं लेकिन 2028 में वह स्वर्ण पदक लाएगी।
Mahavir Phogat, uncle of Olympian wrestler and Congress candidate from Julana, Vinesh Phogat, said, "She performed very well in the Paris Olympics but was disqualified in the final. It is my personal opinion that she should participate in the 2028 Olympics. The gold medal is my dream, she did not get it but the people of India gave her a lot of love and people expected a gold medal from her. This made people sad but everyone including me hoped that not this time but in 2028 she will bring the gold medal.
