Dialectical behavioral therapy is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy developed in the 1980s. With DBT, there is a collaborative effort between a client and their therapist. The focus is on shifting thoughts that make life harder and expanding your perspective. When you participate in DBT, you can learn new ways of interacting with people around you. In part one of this video series, we’ll explore the components of DBT.
