Reinventing The Elektron Octatrack As A Punch-In Effects Player
This is worth the effort to learn. The Hyper FX performance template for the Elektron Octatrack is all about "punch in effects." Use the punch in effects to create new rhythms from your existing patterns. The effects are glitchy, lo-fi, and full of grit. I originally designed this template for drum and bass, but it works great for all genres and tempos. The idea is that you play the effects yourself, like another instrument. There are combos and synergy, and with practice, you can master the move sets. No matter what kind of music you are making, this will transform your project.
