HDR photography without HDR software (gimp tutorial)
This photo was taken with the nikon D300 ( but you can do it with this camera just as well http://amzn.to/1VPJro5 the nikon d7200 )
the lens i used was the Tokina 11-16mm lens http://amzn.to/1nutpv2 which is the best for wide angle on cropped sensor cameras but you can get the upgrade version of it here http://amzn.to/1VPJtfB

Take two photos,
one exposing for the sky
the other for the ground
let loose the gimp
apply the mask
slap on a gradient and stroke with a brush
flatten
bobs your uncle
