1940. Hiding in Mexico, a political refugee Leon Trotsky, losing eleven years of exile all the family, realizes that Stalin would haunt him until the end of days. From here, you can run but you cannot hide.
Trotsky remained to give battle. But his weapon is not bullets, but words. It will leave a political will, for the first time sincerely telling how a poor Jewish boy became a prophet of the new world and destroyed the greatest Empire. He invites you to write a young canadian journalist Frank Jackson, sympathetic to Stalin. He doesn't need an obedient Secretary, and ideological opponent, Trotsky will turn to their faith to turn her humanity.
But Jackson is a tough nut. He asks Trotsky awkward questions and forces him to go further, to look into the secret depths of the soul and to turn to those pages of life that he would like to forget forever.
