Three scientists from the Novosibirsk Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Doctor of Technical Sciences Valery Zvegintsev, director of ITAM Alexander Shiplyuk and chief researcher Anatoly Maslov, who developed the Russian hypersonic missiles Kinzhal, were arrested for high treason in the Russian Federation.
