Madeira - Best walk / hike ever - PR.1 Pico Areiro to Pico Ruivo. Absolute must do if you like heights and walking, stunning views, amazing drops, magical icicles and a hut not far from the top that sells cold beer! We hauled a picnic and bottle of bubbles to the top took 2.5hrs each way but you can do it 1 way or take a shorter route if you just want to get to the highest peak (Ruivo). There was snow in places when we went so can get cold... go prepared.
