In this virtual production project, my goal was to create an environment set suitable for real-time rendering and In-Camera VFX. To achieve this, I utilized various tools and techniques.
I designed modular pieces in ZBrush to represent ancient ruins and then textured them in 3D Painter. These elements were seamlessly integrated into Unreal Engine, employing Nanite and Lumen technologies.
For the Buddha figure, I utilized Epic Games Reality Capture to scan and incorporate it into the virtual environment.
The lighting setup consisted of a directional light and two spotlights to illuminate the entire scene effectively.
To construct the wooden bridge, I utilized the new PCG system, which reads the spline's path and instantiates various wooden meshes from the Quixel Megascans library.
As for the sky, I used the ColorCorrectionWindow blueprint to apply a slight tint to achieve the desired camera angle effect.
The water was created using several particle systems in Niagara, incorporating flipbooks and simple sprites to achieve the desired water effect.
Hope you like it!
