Cloud Identity | Create a GCP Organization to Manage Your Resources | Google Cloud Foundations | GCP
In #GCP having an organization is a very important step to take full control of your environment and projects.
Google #Cloud #Identity is a service that you MUST use when you want to use #Google #Cloud Platform or GCP in production and when you want to start putting resources and creating projects, it is important that you make sure everything is being properly managed in GCP and users are being controlled and no one is abusing anything or causing any harm or messing around with your resources.
This is why you need to have a Google Cloud Identity account and organization setup for your GCP projects and resources. This is also considered the first step in tbe very critical Enterprise setup checklist and the Google Cloud Foundation methodology and approach. This is something I personally push every customer I work with to adapt and I do workshops for them to onboard them and make them aware about all of these concepts and practices.
This is also the core of all of Google's best practices for GCP setup and resources management and administration.
Google Cloud Identity is a free service and product from Google that you will have to use with GCP to unlock all of the management features and benefits. It will allow you to have an organization structure with proper hierarchy, permissions and roles inheritance. It will allow you also to use the least privilege approach and concept to manage your GCP resources.
In this video I will talk about what is Google Cloud Identity, and then I will briefly mention its editions, and benefits, then I'll take you in a quick demonstration to show you how you can create a Google Cloud Identity and setup the organization that you need to have in GCP.
At the end of the video I will be talking about some use cases and next steps for you to take this further and go forward to fully utilize and configure the additional features and controls that you will get after you enable and setup your GCP organization.
