In my opinion:
The APowerSoft app has some cool features, including full-screen recording and region capturing, but you need to go to the website each time you want to use the software. On the other end, the ScreenRec app is really simple, absolutely NO special features, and you don’t have to go to any website to use the application. With these details in-mind I found one of these guys takes the cake.
Winner: ScreenRec!
Although, APowerSoft had some better features it was a pain having to go to the website each time you want to use the system. If you’re doing simple screencasts, often, it makes since to have an app native on your computer.
With this said, I still love ScreenCast-O-Matic, https://screencast-o-matic.com/
for screencasting, it’s a great software I’ve been using for over 6 years and was the best even then when there were limited options for screencasting.
