View PDFs in Expo React Native Apps using react-native-pdf
Hi everyone!
Today I'm showing you how to view PDFs in expo react native apps using the react-native-pdf npm package. You will be unable to test this in the Expo Go app as you must configure it as a config plugin and build a standalone app to test. You can use expo-dev-client npm package to help run your standalone development build and I will show you how to do this.
I will also show you how to view pdfs in a variety of forms from Base64 strings to online urls to generated pdfs from the expo-print npm package. I will also show you how to listen for some events and use useRef to get a reference to the PDF component that you can then use to set the page displayed.
