Brush strokes and styles in Motion5
http://videomagical.com - Finding out more things about Motion 5 and how I can use styles to change the way things look. In this video I look at the brush strokes and the style that you can apply to brush strokes. You can also add the same styles to the outlines of objects like rectangles and circles. It can sometimes be a little confusing, given that there are so many different parameters that you can adjust and set. On top of that when you are adding some of the styles, they come with behaviour is attached. For example there is a style which is called chocolate swirls and it also adds a behaviour to the object that you attach it to. Not only that but there are some brushstrokes that have video elements within them, for example the one that looks like a vine and that has a movie file which paints on the shape of the vine leaves and stem.
It's good to look at all of these individual parts of Motion 5 and see how they behave and operate because at some point in time I will be getting into the more complicated area of setting up rigs. With the rates you can apply a number of settings all at the same time and is obviously a technique used by advanced users. I will look at this option in further Motion 5 tutorials.
This YouTube video about how to use Motion 5 is still part of the exploration process to find out what can be done with this application to create video motion graphics or animations. I also expect to look at putting some of these techniques together into one final piece of work that will be an example of using all of these techniques to create an animation.
