One of the most fun insects to collect are hummingbird moths. In this video I show you how to collect these beautiful insects using simple techniques. I also look for the caterpillars that become these moths and talk about their biology. In my quest to find these I ran into some other cool insects I wanted to show you too.
Last week we found this awesome Mantispid (AKA mantisfly) in our garden. I was super excited to find it and film it. While I watched this insect on a leaf a few different insects ran into it including some an aphid, some ants and a very angry wasp looking for a fight. Watch this video to see how this insect fared in battle. No insects were killed during the making of this video.
