Early pregnancy scan - done to visualize and locate intrauterine pregnancy/ check the fetal heartbeat.

Level 1 scan ( NT/NB scan) - During the first trimester(11 to 13, +6 weeks), there is a fluid-filled space behind the foetus’ neck called the nuchal translucency. An NT scan is done to measure the nuchal space and estimate the risk of any chromosomal abnormalities the baby might have. The NT scan also checks if the baby has a nasal bone or not.

Level 2 scan ( Anomaly scan) - A level II ultrasound done between 18-20 weeks, also known as a fetal anatomical survey, is recommended for almost all pregnant women. It is similar to a standard ultrasound but provides more detailed information.
During the level II ultrasound, your doctor will examine your baby’s organs, brain, umbilical cord, gender, and more.

Level 3 scan- Done after 34 weeks of pregnancy, this scan is done to obtain details like fetal growth parameters, the position of the baby, fetal weight, and well-being parameters.

Level 4 scan - Doppler ultrasound uses sound waves to detect the movement of blood in vessels. It is used in pregnancy to study blood circulation in the baby, uterus, and placenta. Using it in high‐risk pregnancies, where there is concern about the baby's condition, shows benefits.
